Enjoy a more leisurely pace through the cities and fjords of Norway. Beginning with a stay in Oslo, ride the Oslo/Bergen Railway to the popular resort community of Voss where you will spend two nights. Leave your bags behind and enjoy the majestic sights of Norway’s famous “Norway in a Nutshell.” Then continue your journey to the historic city of Bergen where you can shop the Fish Market, visit the home of the late Edvard Grieg or sail north along the coast of Norway on Hurtigruten’s Norwegian Coastal Voyage, hailed as the World’s Most Beautiful Voyage.

Tour Itinerary

7-Day Norway in a Nutshell

• Day 1
  Arrive Oslo
  Arrive in Oslo. Balance of day free. Overnight at the Thon Hotel Opera located near Oslo’s central train station. (Itinerary can be reversed. Please note upon registration.)
• Day 2
  Oslo
  Breakfast at the hotel. Day free to enjoy a variety of optional sightseeing tours of Oslo featuring the beautiful Frogner Park and a visit to the impressive Viking Ship Museum. In the evening, take a harbor cruise or stroll along the main street, Karl Johan. Overnight at hotel.

• Day 3
  Oslo—Voss
  Depart Oslo at 8:11am on the famed Oslo/Bergen Railway for the popular resort community of Voss. Arrive at 1:44pm. (If you prefer a later departure at 10:33am with arrival in Voss at 4:41pm, please specify upon registration.) Dinner and overnight at the charming Fleischer’s Hotel.

• Day 4
  Voss—Flåm—Voss
  Breakfast at hotel. Depart Voss by train at 9:58am. At Myrdal, change to the Flåm Line. Arrive in the quaint fjord community of Flåm at 11:50am. At 3:00pm, board the ferry for a cruise on the Aurland and Nærøy Fjords. Arrive in Gudvangen at 5:00pm. At 6:00pm, return by bus to Voss ascending the 13 hairpin bends of the Stalheim Road. Arrive at 6:55pm. Dinner and overnight at Fleischer’s Hotel.

  Voss—Bergen
  Breakfast at hotel. At 10:50am, depart by train to Bergen. Arrive at 12:05pm. Afternoon free. Overnight at Clarion Admiral Hotel, located by Bergen’s famous Hanseatic wharf. (If you prefer an earlier departure from Voss, please specify upon registration.)

  Bergen
  Breakfast at hotel. Day free to join an optional sightseeing tour of Bergen, visit Fantoft Stave Church or Troldhaugen, home of the late Edvard Grieg. Overnight at hotel.
