    Mpls/St. Paul — Oslo:

    Depart USA on your transatlantic flight. For estimated airfare supplements from other US cities, or if requesting alternate travel dates or departure cities, please contact Brekke Tours directly.
  • Day 2: Monday, July 23
    Oslo

    Arrive at Gardermoen Airport Oslo. Transfer to hotel in city center. Balance of day free to relax and adjust to time change. Welcome dinner and overnight at the classic Grand Hotel.

  • Day 3: Tuesday, July 24
    Oslo

    Morning sightseeing tour of Oslo includes a visit to Vigeland Sculpture Park and the Viking Ship Museum. Afternoon and evening free for shopping and independent explorations. Dinner on own.

  • Day 4: Wednesday, July 25
    Oslo — Eidsvoll — Hamar — Lillehammer

    Drive to Eidsvoll. Visit the manor house where Norway’s Constitution was written and passed on May 17, 1814, Norway’s National Day. Continue to Hamar. Tour the unique Glass Cathedral. With its special construction of glass and steel, the structure is an architectural and technological masterpiece to protect the cathedral ruins, which are considered to be one of Norway’s foremost cultural landmarks from the Middle Ages. The surrounding park also boasts one of Norway’s largest herb gardens, with more than 30 different varieties. Tour and dinner at a local farm, beautifully situated on the banks of Norway’s largest lake, Lake Mjøsa. Proceed to Lillehammer for overnight at the Radisson BLU Lillehammer Hotel.

  • Day 5: Thursday, July 26
    Lillehammer — Trondheim

    View the sites of the 1994 Winter Olympics. Drive north to Trondheim for dinner and overnight at Radisson BLU Royal Garden Hotel.

    Trondheim

    Morning sightseeing tour of Trondheim includes a visit to the Nidaros Cathedral, one of the most splendid cathedrals in Scandinavia. Afternoon free for independent explorations. Dinner on own.

  • Day 7: Saturday, July 28
    Trondheim — Molde

    Depart for Møre & Romsdal. Drive the Atlantic Ocean Road with the vast and boundless ocean on one side and majestic snow-clad mountain peaks towering on the other. Visit the fishing village of Bud and tour Ergan Kystfort, a defensive bunker built by the Germans during the occupation of Norway during WWII. Lunch in Bud. Continue to Molde, also known as the “City of Roses”. Dinner and overnight at Rica Seilet Hotel.

  • Day 8: Sunday, July 29
    Molde — Geiranger — Loen

    Drive to Åndalsnes. Travel the “Golden Route” climbing the breathtaking Troll’s Path with its steep and narrow hairpin bends, and descending the Eagle Road to the famous village of Geiranger. Cruise the dramatic Geiranger Fjord (a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2005) from Geiranger to Hellesylt. Continue to Loen. Dinner and overnight at the luxurious Alexandra Hotel.

  • Day 9: Monday, July 30
    Loen — Flåm

    Morning excursion to the sparkling Briksdal Glacier. Opportunity to purchase quality crafts and woven products at Audhild Viken’s Weaving Workshop in Skei. Ferry across the Sognefjord from Mannheller to Fodnes. Continue to Flåm for dinner and overnight at the charming Fretheim Hotel.

  • Day 10: Tuesday, July 31
    Flåm — Bergen

    Depart Flåm by train to Myrdal where we change to the famous Oslo/Bergen Railway and continue by train to Voss. Drive to Bergen, Norway’s second largest city for a sightseeing tour. Our city sightseeing tour includes Troldhaugen, home of Norway’s renowned musician, the late Edvard Grieg. Time on own for shopping, independent explorations and/or a stroll through the colorful Fish Market. Overnight at the First Hotel Marin.
