Tour Itinerary
- Day 1:
Oslo Arrive in Oslo. Independent transfer to hotel in city center. Balance of day free. Overnight at the Grand Hotel.
- Day 2:
Oslo [B] Afternoon sightseeing tour of Oslo includes a visit to Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Viking Ship Museum and the Norwegian Folk Museum. Afternoon and evening free for independent explorations. Dinner on own.
- Day 3:
Oslo [B] Catch the spirit of May 17, Norway’s Constitution Day. View the children’s parade and enjoy the activities of this festive day. Balance of day free to enjoy the activities of this special day. Dinner on own. Overnight at hotel.
- Day 4:
Oslo - Voss [B, D] Depart Oslo on the famed Oslo/Bergen Railway for the popular resort community of Voss. Dinner and overnight at the charming Fleischer's Hotel.
- Day 5:
Norway in a Nutshell Excursion [B, D] Depart Voss by train on the Oslo/Bergen Railway. At Myrdal transfer to the Flåm Line, deemed by some as the most fantastic train ride in Europe. Descend to the Flåm Valley, dropping 2800 feet within 13 miles. Cruise the dramatic Aurland and Nærøy Fjords (placed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 2005) from Flåm to Gudvangen. Proceed by motorcoach to Voss for dinner and overnight.
- Day 6:
Voss - Bergen [B] Depart by train to Bergen, Norway’s second largest city. Balance of afternoon and evening free. Dinner on own. Overnight at Clarion Admiral Hotel.
- Day 7:
Bergen [B] Morning sightseeing tour of Bergen includes a visit to Troldhaugen, home of Norway’s internationally-known composer, the late Edvard Grieg. Remainder of day free to walk through the historic Hanseatic Wharf, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, visit the famous Fish Market, or ride the funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen for a magnificent view of Bergen, or stroll through the old cobble-stoned streets. Dinner on own. Overnight at hotel.
- Day 8:
Bergen [B] Package ends following breakfast. Transfer to Flesland Airport Bergen on own for return flight or extend your stay with a 7-day northbound cruise on Hurtigruten. Sail along the Norwegian coastline aboard Hurtigruten, the World’s Most Beautiful Voyage.
