- Day 1: June 11 / July 31
Mpls/St. Paul — Bergen
Depart USA on your transatlantic flight. For estimated airfare supplements from
other US cities, or if requesting alternate travel dates or departure

- Day 2: June 12 / August 1
Bergen
Arrive at Flesland Airport Bergen. Transfer to hotel in city center. Balance of
day free to relax and adjust to time change. Welcome dinner and overnight at Augustin
Hotel/ Clarion Admiral Hotel.

- Day 3: June 13 / August 2
Bergen
Morning sightseeing tour of Norway’s second largest city includes a visit to Troldhaugen,
home of Norway’s internationally-known composer, the late Edvard Grieg. Afternoon
and evening free to walk through the historic Hanseatic Wharf (UNESCO World Heritage
Site), visit the famous Fish Market, ride the funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen
for a magnificent view of Bergen or stroll through the old cobble-stoned streets.
Dinner on own.

Bergen — Balestrand
Drive to Voss. Proceed over the Vik Mountains to Vik. A light lunch includes tasting
a local delicacy before ferrying across the mighty Sognefjord from Vangsnes to Dragsvik.
Dinner and overnight at the historic Kvikne’s Hotel in Balestrand.

- Day 5: June 15 / August 4
Balestrand — Lofthus
Depart by ferry to Flåm and change to the famous Flåm Railway, ranked as one of
the top 20 train rides in the world. Enjoy breathtaking views and the thundering
sound of waterfalls as we ascend 2800 feet within 13 miles to Myrdal. Transfer to
the Oslo/Bergen Railway and continue to Voss. Proceed to Lofthus, located in Hardanger,
the heart of Norway’s cherry, apple and pear orchards. Dinner and overnight at the
exquisite Ullensvang Hotel with a spectacular view of the Sør Fjord.

Lofthus — Morgedal
Morning shopping opportunity at Hardanger Tinn, a local pewter factory. Drive to
Telemark, an area rich in cultural traditions. In Morgedal, tour the Norwegian Ski
Adventure Center offering an exciting adventure through the history of modern skiing.
Dinner and overnight at Morgedal Hotel.

Morgedal — Oslo
Drive to Rjukan and learn about the German occupation of Norway during World War
II. Visit Vemork, the hydroelectric power plant, where the Nazis produced “heavy
water” for their atomic bomb experiments. Proceed to Heddal Stave Church, Norway’s
largest stave church from the 12th-century. Continue to Oslo for overnight at the
classic Grand Hotel.

Oslo
Morning sightseeing tour of Oslo includes a visit to Vigeland Sculpture Park, the
Viking Ship Museum and the Norwegian Folk Museum. Afternoon free for shopping and
independent explorations. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Oslo — USA
Tour ends following breakfast. Transfer to Gardermoen Airport for return flight.
