To reserve your space on this tour, please complete the early registration form and submit your fully refundable $400 deposit (payable by check). Once airfare is confirmed and pricing is finalized, you will receive a confirmed, priced itinerary, the applicable terms and conditions and information pertaining to travel insurance. To reconfirm your participation, you will also be asked to complete our Tour Registration Form. You will then have two weeks to cancel; should you cancel, you will receive a full refund of your trip deposit..

Tour Itinerary

DAY 1: TUESDAY, JULY 12 Mpls/St. Paul―Oslo

Depart the USA on your transatlantic flight. To request alternate dates or for estimated airfare supplements from other US cities, please note on application.


Arrive at Oslo Gardermoen Airport. Transfer to the hotel in the city center. Balance of day free to relax and adjust to time change. Dinner and overnight at the Scandic Victoria Hotel.


Morning sightseeing tour includes Vigeland Park, and Holmenkollen Ski Jump. Balance of day free. Dinner on own. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 4: FRIDAY, JULY 15 Oslo―Vaset

Depart by coach for Valdres. Drive the lush and beautiful Valdres Valley, ancestral home of your tour guide. In Fagernes, tour the Valdres Folk Museum. Visit the Slidredomen Church. Enjoy dinner and tour of your guide's family farm. Drive to Gomobu Fjellstue for overnight.


Day free for hiking in the area, or biking along mountain trails (bike rentals available upon request). Dinner. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 6: SUNDAY, JULY 17 Vaset―Flåm

Drive to Gol and continue through the Hallingdal Valley. Cross the largest high mountain plateau in northern Europe, the barren Hardanger Plateau. Descend the wild Måbødal Canyon past the Vøring Waterfall plunging 600 ft into a narrow rock basin. Tour the Hardanger Nature Center reflecting the Norwegians’ love and respect for nature. Lunch on own. Proceed to Voss. Enjoy a 3-hour family rafting adventure on the Vosso River, which runs from Voss to Evanger. Start in flat water, then go with the flow for about 4 miles, passing sections of gentle rapids with waves and whirlpools, ending in Evanger Lake. Barbeque dinner and continue to the fjord-side community of Flåm. Overnight at Flåmsbrygga Hotel.


Day free for a variety of optional activities (please request list of optional activities upon registration). Dinner at Ægir, one of Norway’s best craft breweries, housed in a building inspired by Norse mythology, with the exterior reminiscent of a stave church. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 8: TUESDAY, JULY 19 Flåm―Voss―Bergen

Board the Flåm Railway, one of the top 20 train rides in Europe. Ascend the wild Flåm Valley to Myrdal. Change to the Oslo/Bergen Railway and continue to Bergen. Transfer to hotel followed by short walking tour of beautiful Bergen. Dinner and evening on own. Overnight at Clarion Admiral Hotel.

DAY 9: WEDNESDAY, JULY 20 Bergen―Stavanger

Morning free. Walk to the pier for 1:30pm departure by ferry to Stavanger. Relax on board the ferry as you pass quaint villages and dramatic coastal scenery. Upon arrival in Stavanger at 7:00pm, transfer to the Clarion Stavanger Hotel. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 10: THURSDAY, JULY 21 Excursion to Pulpit Rock

Morning transfer to the base of Pulpit Rock by bus/ferry. Enjoy an invigorating 3.5-mile hike to Pulpit Rock which rises nearly 2000 feet above the Lysefjorden. Return to Stavanger in the evening. Dinner. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 11: FRIDAY, JULY 22 Stavanger―Depart

Tour ends following breakfast. Transfer to Stavanger Sola Airport for return flight. Longer stays may be requested upon registration for a minimum charge of $150.
