Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Wednesday, July 11 Mpls / St. Paul—Bergen

Depart the USA on your transatlantic flight. To request alternate dates or for estimated airfare supplements from other US cities, please note on application.

Day 2: Thursday, July 12 Bergen

Arrive at Flesland Airport Bergen. Transfer to hotel in city center. Balance of day free to relax and adjust to time change. Welcome dinner and overnight at Clarion Admiral Hotel.

Day 3: Friday, July 13 Bergen

Morning sightseeing tour includes a visit to Troldhaugen, home of Norway’s internationally-known composer, the late Edvard Grieg. Tour concludes with a guided walk through the historic Hanseatic Wharf. Balance of day free. Dinner on own. Overnight at hotel.

Day 4: Saturday, July 14 Bergen—Flåm

Drive to Voss. Board the famous Oslo/Bergen Railway and proceed to Myrdal. Change to the renowned Flåm Railway and descend 2800 feet within 13 miles to Flåm. Cruise the Aurlandfjord and Nærøyfjord to Gudvangen. Return by motorcoach to Flåm for dinner and overnight at Flåmsbrygga Hotel.

Day 5: Sunday, July 15 Flåm—Oslo

Drive to Stegastein Viewpoint for a spectacular view of Norway’s fjord country. Proceed over the mountain road to Lærdal. At Borgund, tour one of the best preserved of the remaining stave churches. Continue through the lush Valdres Valley to Oslo. Dinner on own. Overnight at the classic Grand Hotel.

Day 6: Monday, July 16 Oslo

Morning sightseeing includes a tour of Vigeland Park and the Viking Ship Museum. Balance of day free. Dinner on own. Overnight at hotel.

Day 7: Tuesday, July 17 Oslo—Copenhagen

Day free in Oslo. Afternoon transfer to quay for overnight cruise to Copenhagen departing at 4:30pm. Dinner on board. Overnight in outside Commodore Class cabin.

Day 8: Wednesday, July 18 Copenhagen

Breakfast on board. Arrive in Copenhagen at 9:45am. Morning sightseeing tour of Copenhagen includes the famous statue, The Little Mermaid. Balance of day free to explore Copenhagen or browse the world’s longest shopping street, Strøget. Dinner on own. Overnight at Best Western Hotel Hebron.

Day 9: Thursday, July 19 Copenhagen—Lagan

Drive to Hillerød. Tour Frederiksborg Castle, built over three islands housing priceless treasures such as furniture and tapestries. Ferry across the strait from Helsingør to Helsingborg, Sweden. Continue to the province of Småland. Dinner and overnight in Lagan at the charming Toftaholm Manor.

Day 10: Friday, July 20 Lagan—Gothenburg

Morning drive to the Kingdom of Crystal. Shopping opportunity at Kosta Boda, one of the world’s leading brands of glassware and art glass. Proceed to Gothenburg, Sweden’s second largest city. Dinner on own. Overnight at Clarion Post Hotel in Gothenburg.

Day 11: Saturday, July 21 Gothenburg

Learn about the history of the city on a cruise through the canals, under 20 bridges and into the bustling harbor. Balance of day free for independent explorations such as a visit the Volvo Museum, the Fish Church, or the Gothenburg Museum of Art featuring works by significant Nordic and international artists. Dinner on own. Overnight at hotel.

Day 12: Sunday, July 22 Gothenburg—Stockholm

Drive through the Swedish countryside to Stockholm, beautifully positioned on 14 islands. Dinner. Overnight at the Clarion Hotel Sign.

Day 13: Monday, July 23 Stockholm

Morning sightseeing tour of the Swedish capital of Stockholm includes a tour of City Hall and the Vasa Ship Museum. Afternoon free to explore or relax. Farewell dinner. Overnight at hotel.

Day 14: Tuesday, July 24 Stockholm—Depart

Tour ends following breakfast. Transfer to Arlanda Airport for return flight. Longer stays may be requested upon registration or a minimum charge of $150.
