Arrive at Gardermoen Airport Oslo. Transfer to hotel in city center. Balance of day free to relax and adjust to time change. Welcome dinner. Overnight at the Scandic Victoria Hotel.
[D]Sightseeing in Norway’s capital city includes a visit to Holmenkollen Ski Jump and Vigeland Sculpture Park, where 175 sculptures are arranged over 75 acres. These granite sculptures depict all phases of human life. Balance of day free. Dinner on own. Overnight at hotel.
[B]Depart Oslo for the Olympic city of Lillehammer, nestled along the shores of Norway’s largest lake, Lake Mjøsa. View the sites of the 1994 Winter Olympics. Continue to Øyer for dinner and overnight at Hunderfossen Hotell & Resort.
[B][D]Day free to visit Hunderfossen Family Amusement Park. Here the treasures of Norwegian folk stories are kept safe, guarded by a 46 foot troll and behind the gates of the 121 foot tall fairy tale castle. In this unique and mysterious atmosphere, you may have an opportunity to meet a prince or a princess, a King or a Queen, as well as trolls and other characters from old Norwegian folk stories. Overnight at Hunderfossen Hotell & Resort.
[B]Drive through the beautiful Valdres Valley to Fagernes. Tour the Valdres Folk Museum which features an extensive collection of bunads. Continue to Gol for dinner and overnight at the Storefjell Hotel and Resort.
[B][D]Drive through Hemsedal to Borgund. Visit the Borgund Stave Church, one of the best preserved of the remaining stave churches. Drive the Snow Road to Stegastein Viewpoint for a fantastic view of the Aurlandfjord. Continue to Flåm for dinner and overnight at the Fretheim Hotel.
[B][D]Morning roundtrip departure on the famous Flåm Railway to Myrdal. Enjoy breathtaking views and the thundering sound of waterfalls. Ascend 2800 feet within 13 miles to Myrdal. Return to Flåm. Afternoon free for biking, kayaking or hiking in the surrounding countryside. In the evening, enjoy a cruise on the Aurlandfjord from Flåm to Undredal, a little village squeezed in between tall mountains. Undredal is inhabited by 80 people and almost 500 goats. It is also home to the smallest church in Scandinavia, built as a stave church in 1147. Visit Eldhuset for an introduction to the tradition of farming in the mountains, as well as the making of goat cheese. Dinner. Return to Flåm for overnight at hotel.
[B][D]Morning drive to Voss for a 3-hour family rafting adventure on the Vosso River, which runs from Voss to Evanger. Start in flat water, then go with the flow for about 4 miles, passing sections of gentle rapids with waves and whirlpools, ending in the Evanger Lake where refreshments await. Proceed by motorcoach to Bergen. Dinner and overnight at the Clarion Admiral Hotel.
[B][D]Morning walking tour through the color Fish Market and the historic Hanseatic Wharf (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Ride the funicular to the top of Mt. Fløyen for a panoramic view of Bergen and a chance to explore the playground and Troll Forest. Balance of day free in Bergen for independent explorations. Farewell dinner and overnight at hotel.
