DAY 1: THURSDAY, JULY 9 Mpls/St. Paul―Stockholm

Depart on your transatlantic flight. To request alternate dates or for estimated airfare supplements from other US cities, please note on application.

DAY 2: FRIDAY, JULY 10 Stockholm

Arrive at Arlanda Airport Stockholm. Transfer to hotel in city center. Balance of day free to relax and adjust to time change. Welcome dinner and overnight at the Clarion Hotel Sign.

DAY 3: SATURDAY, JULY 11 Stockholm

Morning sightseeing tour of the Swedish capital includes City Hall, site of the annual Nobel Prize banquet; and the Vasa Ship Museum, home of the 17th century warship which sank on her maiden voyage. Afternoon free to explore Stockholm including Old Town (Gamla Stan) with its narrow streets and old merchants’ houses. Dinner on own. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 4: SUNDAY, JULY 12 Stockholm―Tällberg

Depart Stockholm for Dalarna, which epitomizes all things Swedish. Visit the old university town of Uppsala for a tour of the inspiring Uppsala Cathedral. Continue to Sundborn, the home of Carl Larsson, one of Sweden’s most beloved artists. Dinner and overnight at Quality Spa & Resort Dalecarlia.

DAY 5: MONDAY, JULY 13 Tällberg―Oslo

At Nusnäs, tour the center for the production of the traditional Dala wooden horses, the symbol of Sweden. Travel through Malung known for its leather industry. Drive to the province of Värmland with its lakes and forests. There are many artists, writers and poets who have found inspiration in this region. Proceed to Oslo. Overnight at the Grand Hotel. Dinner on own.

DAY 6: TUESDAY, JULY 14 Oslo

Morning sightseeing tour includes a tour of Vigeland Park and the Viking Ship Museum. Balance of day free to explore Norway’s capital city. Dinner on own. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 7: WEDNESDAY, JULY 15 Oslo―Flåm

Scenic drive through the beautiful Valdres Valley. Tour Borgund Stave Church, one of the best preserved of the remaining stave churches. Drive the Snow Road to Stegastein Viewpoint for a spectacular view of Norway’s fjord country. Proceed to Flåm for dinner and overnight at the Flåmsbrygga Hotel.

DAY 8: THURSDAY, JULY 16 Flåm―Bergen

Morning cruise of the Aurlandfjord and Nærøyfjord to Gudvangen. Return by motorcoach to Flåm. Board the Flåm Railway, ranked as one of the top 20 train rides in the world. Within 13 miles, ascend 2800 feet to Myrdal. Change to the famous Oslo/Bergen Railway and continue by train to Voss. Meet the motorcoach and drive to Bergen. Dinner on own. Overnight at Clarion Admiral Hotel in Bergen’s city center.

DAY 9: FRIDAY, JULY 17 Bergen

Morning sightseeing tour of Norway’s second largest city includes a walk through the historic Hanseatic Wharf (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and a visit to Troldhaugen, home of Norway’s internationally-known composer, the late Edvard Grieg. Afternoon free to visit the famous Fish Market or ride the funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen for a magnificent view of Bergen. Farewell dinner at hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Tour ends following breakfast. Transfer to Flesland Airport for return flight. Longer stays may be requested upon registration for a minimum charge of $150.
