ITINERARY – 7 DAYS

DAY 1     OSLO
Arrive in Oslo. Balance of day free to relax and adjust to time change. Dinner on own. Overnight at Amerikalinjen Hotel (superior room) or similar located in Oslo’s city center.

DAY 2     OSLO                                                                                 [B]
Breakfast at the hotel. This morning, enjoy a 3-hour private walking tour around Oslo featuring the Royal Palace, National Theater, City Hall. Balance of day free to visit one of the city’s many museums, Akershus Fortress, the Oslo Opera House or take a harbor cruise or stroll along the main street, Karl Johan. Dinner on own. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 3     OSLO – FLÅM                                                                [B,D]
Breakfast at hotel. Depart Oslo on the famed Oslo/Bergen Railway for the mountaintop station of Myrdal. In Myrdal, change to the famous Flåm Railway. Descend the Flåm Valley, dropping 2800 feet within 13 miles past thundering waterfalls and through mountain tunnels. Balance of day free. Viking Plank dinner at Ægir Brewery consisting of five local dishes perfectly paired with five different kinds of beer (non-alcoholic drinks can be substituted upon request). Overnight at the Flåmsbrygga Hotel (superior room).

Note: Luggage portage to Bergen is included. Luggage will need to be delivered to the Reception Desk the night prior or before 6:30am.

DAY 4     FLÅM                                                                               [B,L,D]
Morning cruise on the Aurlandfjord and Nærøyfjord from Flåm to Gudvangen. In Gudvangen, visit the Viking Valley to see the recreated Viking Village. Enjoy lunch served in a Viking house before returning to Flåm by bus. Balance of day free for hiking, biking, kayaking and more. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

DAY 5     FLÅM – VOSS – BERGEN                                        [B]
Breakfast at hotel. Board the Flåm Railway and travel to Myrdal. In Myrdal, change to the Oslo/Bergen Railway and continue to by train to Bergen. Upon arrival in Bergen, transfer on own to the luxurious Bergen Børs Hotel (superior room) or similar located in the heart of Bergen, near the famous Hanseatic wharf. Balance of day free. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 6     BERGEN                                                                         [B]
Breakfast at hotel. Day free to explore Bergen independently. You may wish to shop along the historic Hanseatic Wharf, or visit Håkon’s Hall, Fantoft Stave Church or Troldhaugen, home of the late Edvard Grieg. A roundtrip ride on the Mt. Fløyen funicular for a spectacular view of Bergen is included. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

DAY 7     BERGEN                                                                         [B]
Tour ends following breakfast at hotel.

Itinerary can be reversed (Bergen to Oslo). Additional hotel nights are available upon request.

An optional extension from Bergen to Trondheim on board the Norwegian Coastal Voyage is available.
